RE: Best Bang for the Buck

Check out the Mobile Suites by DVR. If you can get past the sticker shock you will see a very nice unit.

RE: hydraulic vs electric slide outs

Hydraulic's make good trash compactors when you leave things in the way of the slides. Electric's just seem to stall out.

RE: Trailair Center Point......

Another good point with the center point air is, you can add more air to one side or the other depending how heavy each side is. I run 60 psi on passerger side and 75 psi on the drivers side. Nice and smooth riding for everything in the trailer.

RE: What would you have done?

I have only moved one once. It was an emergency because the guy was blocking the road out of the campground and his truck went into idle only mode with a little noise, must have been a Ford thing. He was unable to pull the hill, so I put it back into the his vacated camp spot.
I don't mind doing something like that, but towing someone else's trailer for sone distance that I don't know anything about is something else.

RE: Doing our part to help the economy

Weather you got a heck of a deal, or you were badly taken, is in direct proportions to the value that you place on money.

RE: Finally got our Mobile Suites

Enjoy your new trailer. We sure like our side bath unit. Sure they cost $$$$$ but you get a good quality rig for your money, and they are a dream to pull with the TrailAir suspension and air hitch and the disc brakes.

RE: Know any millionaires?

My next door neighbor is just like the above mentioned. Same modest ranch style house for the last 39 years. Real nice guy, wish I was worth 1/4 of what he is, then we would really be doing some RV'ing.

RE: Teton vs. Escalade

Yes the New Horizons trailer is one highley rated RV, but this is only one persons take on them, and of course I could be wrong. They remind me of a rich young gal that was very reliable and had the means to take very good care of you, but she was homely as a mud fence.

What does the mineral oil do?
Makes it slippery. Works good on lots of things.

Yup, Goodyear G614's on 17.5" wheels. Run 120 psi, I only have about 2000 miles and are looking good with no problems.

RE: Diesel Generators

On our previous 5th wheel trailer the generator was mounted in a compartment on the road side and it got it’s fuel from a compartment on the passenger side. It was a gas generator and the it had a six gallon fuel cell kinda like the type you would find in a boat.
I suppose the same arrangement could be set up for a diesel generator.

RE: HELP!! Even the experts can't figure this out.....

When you get this problem solved, my suggestion to prevent this in the future is to put your tissue in a small trash can next to your stool. I see no good reason for putting it into the black tank. I have been doing it this way for years with no problem. Just put it in a plastic bag and carry it out with the rest of the garbage.

RE: Bleepity Bleep Cats! (vent) Update

We have one cat. He lives out in the wood shed. I feed him every day and give him a pat on the head. That is about as committed to a cat that its going to get.
